Celebrate Lunar New Year with colour, rhythm and tradition

Experience the energy and excitement of traditional Lion Dance performances at Chatswood Chase as part of our Lunar New Year celebrations.

A symbol of good fortune, prosperity and protection, the Lion Dance is a much-loved Lunar New Year tradition, bringing movement, music and joyful atmosphere throughout the centre.

What to Expect

On 17 February, lion dancers will perform throughout Chatswood Chase, filling the centre with vibrant colour, rhythmic drumming and moments of surprise and delight. Each performance will run for approximately 15 minutes, offering multiple opportunities to experience this cultural highlight.

On 21 February, the celebrations continue with a special Lion Dance performance at New Shanghai, bringing the tradition to one of Chatswood Chase’s dining destinations.
